The Barcode-x-wifi, developed by ALTO Laboratories following the success of Barcode-x, represents an innovative advancement in keyboard wedge barcode scanning technology.

This device allows users to capture a wide range of standard barcode formats and transmit the data directly to a PC or Mac, mimicking the functionality of traditional USB scanner terminals. The integration facilitates seamless data entry during regular typing tasks.

Installation of the Barcode-x-wifi is straightforward, requiring no complex configuration for most users. Advanced users have the option to customize settings according to their preferences.

Setting up the system involves simply downloading and installing the free Barcode-x-wifi-server utility available on the Alto-Labs website at http://www.alto-labs.com/vh_app/barcode-x-wifi/. Once installed, users can connect their iPhone by selecting the computer name displayed on the device, entering a preferred password, and initiating scanning operations.

The device incorporates the latest Barcode-x-Pro scanner equipped with Altomatic autofocus, which enhances scanning efficiency and accuracy across various barcode sizes and qualities.
